HOW DOES THE SLIDEPRO TOOL ACTIVATE WITHOUT DROPPING A BALL OR DART DOWN THE DRILLSTRING?

When in the vertical section, a locking mechanism is integrated into the SlidePro system to prevent axial motion, minimizing damaging vibrations on the drilling rig and BHA .    Near KOP with the bit in the horizontal section,  the SlidePro Tool automatically unlocks to start the axial friction breaking motion.

WHAT TYPE OF MWD TOOLS HAVE BEEN USED WITH THE SLIDEPRO?

The SlidePro tool has been used with both Mud Pulse MWD systems and EM MWD systems.   Mud Pulse decoding has been achieved to 6,600 m MD with brine and 5,400 m MD with invert.    MWD providers make the same adjustments to mud pulse strengths downhole when using the SlidePro as other similar friction breaking tools.    Over 20 wells have been drilled using the SlidePro with MWD tools.
